Dès lors, on peut prétendre à l’accomplissement de la religion sans un minimum du savoir (al fiqh, ‘ilmu-l-khuchû’). Le fiqh (science exotérique) est l’ensemble des éléments d’informations religieuses qui permettent au fidèle de façonner l’ossature et la matière de son acte. ‘Ilmu-l-khuchû (science du recueillement) aussi appelée ‘ilmu-l-asrâr (science ésotérique ou secrets) enseigne quant à elle le recueillement, la sincérité, les états spirituels, la pureté de la niyya, etc. et ceux-ci constituent l’esprit de l’acte. Ce présent ouvrage traite de ce deuxième volet de la scince religieuse, il y est question des secrets des cinq piliers de l’islam. L’imam Al Ghazâlî (douzième siècle) et l’imam Dahlaoui (dix neuvième siècle) développent de manières différentes mais, concordantes la dimension spirituelle et les multiples aspects et secrets des bases des pratiques religieuses musulmanes.
