Le laurier de l’exégèse coranique est un ouvrage de synthèse en 3 tomes des principaux commentaires arabes du Coran. En l’occurrence les commentaires du Coran d’At-Tabarî, Al-Qurtubî, Ibn Kathîr, Al-Baghawî, Al-Baydâwî, Al-Mâwardî, Ar-Râzî, Al-Fayrûz Âbâdî, Al-Jalâlayn. Et, pour les auteurs contemporains ceux d’Ibn ‘Âshûr, Al-Allûsî, As-Sâbûnî et Az-Zuhaylî.

L’exégèse y est abordée sous tous ses aspects : étymologie des mots, syntaxe grammaticale, fiabilité des hadiths, divergences d’opinion, de lecture, etc. Le lecteur francophone n’étant pas toujours exercé à la pratique de ces disciplines, nous n’avons retenu de ces commentaires que ce qui est utile à la compréhension du sens des versets, d’où la diversité des auteurs.
